School Board to Discuss Continuation of Paid Busing May 16th
The Board of Education will discuss whether or not to continue paid busing in District 153 at its next meeting on Monday, May 16, 2016. Parents and other community members are encouraged to attend to express their opinions.
The meeting will be held Monday, May 16, at 7 pm in the James Hart Media Center.
Special Education Meetings Announced
During the months of April and May, Homewood School District 153 will conduct “Timely and Meaningful Consultation” meetings. Meeting dates and times below.
The purpose of these meetings are to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within Homewood School District 153 boundaries for the 2016-2017 school year. If you are the parent of a privately placed or home-schooled student who has been, or may be identified with a disability and you reside or have a child that attends school in our boundaries, you are urged to attend.

Interested in Prekindergarten in the Fall?
District 153 will conduct screeings for its prekindergarten program on Friday, May 27th and Monday, June 6th. Children must be 3-years-old on or before May 27, 2016. Proof of residency is required at the time of screening.
